Massage has been an important part of my life since I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis nearly eight years ago. I understand the feelings that arise with chronic suffering from pain and illness. Massage gave me a temporary reprieve that led to lasting symptom free health and happiness and I only wish to give to you the same. It’s been proven that massage treatments not only feel great, but I've experienced directly how they may also help your body heal from chronic ailments along with reducing pain and anxiety. Roots Therapeutic Massage is an up and coming alternative provider of medical massage therapy and therapeutic massage to those living around Sacramento, CA. Here at Roots Massage, I offer my clients therapeutic massage. My massage sessions work by treating the whole person and allowing the masterpiece of your body's self healing processes do the rest. Beginning with individualized techniques to bring you to a state of deep relaxation, we then comprehensively address the localized areas of tension in the body. All work is done on a massage table, though I also have the ability to work on the ground with a massage chair. If you have specific concerns, let me know and we will work on them together.
I can customize your appointment to ensure all your needs are addressed. I also provide therapeutic yoga, which is different from your typical studio yoga class. This form of yoga is designed to help those who may be dealing with a very specific ailment of mind and/or body, utilizing postures (asana) and insight meditation to focus the mind, align the body and bring the individual out of this temporary state of dis-ease. I regularly work on clients who have chronic neck or back pain and who may be living with chronic ailments. No matter your reason for coming, my passion for my clients and the therapeutic massage I offer are sure to help you out. My services are provided by appointment only, and I will work with you in a private setting.
